(cancelled) International Seminar: Poetics and politics in Late Antiquity: the case of Ausonius (23/24 Apr 2025)
Please note: unfortunately, the International Seminar cannot take place.
As part of the "International Seminar", the Institute of Classical Philology invites international scholars to Dresden who offer an English-language program specifically for students, consisting of a lecture and a seminar session - the perfect opportunity to gain insight into current and interesting research topics in a didactic way and also to strengthen your own English language skills. In summer semester 2025, we will be welcoming Professor Giampiero Scafoglio from Nice to Dresden, who, as an expert in the literature of late antiquity, will provide an exciting insight into this currently much-discussed field:
Giampiero Scafoglio (University of Côte d'Azur, Nice): lecture "Poetics and politics in Late Antiquity: the case of Ausonius" (Wed, April 23, 2025, 4th DS, room: ABS/0E11) and seminar "Reading Ausonius' Mosella and Bissula" (Thu, April 24, 2025, 2nd DS, room: ABS/0E08).
All students are welcome, regardless of degree program or number of semesters!
Materials will be provided in the OPAL course: https: //bildungsportal.sachsen.de/opal/auth/RepositoryEntry/48422584358
