Since 1994, the Institute has been organizing regular excursions into ancient culture, alternating between one excursion to a more distant destination and one to a closer one approximately every two years.
The excursions are intended to help students and academics to better experience the ancient world as the horizon of the texts studied in the subject. This also includes exploring and reflecting on the modern context of archaeological sites and their history or strategies of contemporary communication of historical and cultural knowledge. The interdisciplinarity this implies is also reflected in the fact that the excursions organized by the Institute are always carried out in cooperation with Classical Studies.
Thanks to various funding programs, the excursions can be offered to students at affordable prices. The aim is to enable as many people as possible to take part in an excursion.
