Conference for young Eastern Europe experts 2025 in Dresden
From July 3 to 5, 2025, the annual conference for early-career researchers in the field of Eastern European Studies will take place in Dresden. The event is aimed at advanced students, doctoral students and younger doctoral candidates from various disciplines who deal with Eastern Europe.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their research projects to a specialist audience of young academics and experienced experts and to discuss them in an interdisciplinary exchange. The conference also offers a comprehensive insight into current research on Eastern Europe in German-speaking countries and promotes networking in the research field of Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The conference is organized by the German Association for East European Studies (DGO), the Institute of Slavic Studies at TUD Dresden University of Technology and the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig.
