For what purposes will personal data be processed?
Your personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of processing your request (including coordinating appointments) and carrying out the tasks of the Office of Student Affairs.

What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is in particular § 6 para. 1 lit. e DSG-VO i.V.m. § Section 14 (1) SächsHSFG and Section 7 SächsHSPersDatVO. In addition to the aforementioned regulations, the regulations of the TUD Dresden University of Technology apply, in particular the framework regulations on the processing of personal data at the TUD Dresden University of Technology (Framework Regulations VpbD).
What personal data is processed?
Without the consent of the persons concerned, only the data specified in § 8 of the SächsHS-PersDatVO will be processed.
How long is personal data processed/stored?
The deletion periods are based on § 18 SächsHSPersDatVO.
If personal data is transferred to third parties, who at TU Dresden has access to this data and is data collected from third parties?
Unless otherwise stipulated by law or you have expressly consented in individual cases, no personal data is transferred to third parties.
What rights do data subjects have?
- Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects have the right to request information about the personal data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data at any time. They are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects can request the TU Dresden to rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their personal data at any time. - Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
Data subjects can contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden at any time and, in the event of a complaint under Art. 77 GDPR, the competent supervisory authority for data protection.
