Withdrawal from an examination due to illness

Form for withdrawing from a written or oral examination due to illness (in the Bachelor's, Master's and Diplom degree programs)
(The form and the medical certificate must be submitted immediately - i.e. "without culpable delay" - to the Examination Office: in person, by post to TU Dresden, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Examination Office, 01062 Dresden or by other persons. Simple sick bills ("yellow slips") are no longer permitted.

Deregistration at least three working days before the examination date

According to the decision of the Examination Committee, from the summer semester 2023, any registered examination can be deregistered up to three working days before the actual examination date.

Confirmation of deadline extensions for written examinations

Extension of deadlines for final theses due to illness:
As there have been no "yellow slips" for sick notes since 01.01.2023, a doctor's certificate must be submitted if illness is claimed for the purpose of extending the deadline. Exception: illness of own children.

Confirmation of deadline extension for written examinations
This extension by the examiner should not exceed four weeks. If this is not sufficient due to serious problems, longer absences due to illness or similar, a justified application must be submitted to the Examination Committee via the Examination Office, if necessary with supporting documents.
The basic deadline for submission ends at the end of the semester - i.e. on 31.03. or 30.09. However, the examiners can set shorter deadlines. However, the Examination Office must only be notified of an extension of the deadline if the 31.03./30.09. deadline is exceeded.
