Hi!Lusatia e. V. sponsors young scientists' award of the Euroregion Neissse
After a COVID-related break, the Neisse Euroregion awards for cross-border civic engagement and young scientists were presented for the first time since 2019. Under the presidency of the three Euroregional presidents Dr. Meyer (District Administrator of Görlitz for the German side), Martin Půta (Hejtman Liberecký kráj for the Czech side) and Piotr Roman (Mayor of Bolesławiec for the Polish side), Czech-Polish and German-Czech cooperations in the fields of tourism, rescue services and fire departments were honored in a festive setting in Görlitz.
Prizes were also awarded for the best young scientists in the Euroregion: The awards refer to presentations at the Young Scientists' Conference, which the Academic Coordination Centre of the Neisse Euroregion (ACC) had organized in October 2023 as part of the 1st ACC Forum at the IBZ St. Marienthal.
While the 3rd and 2nd place went to contributions by students from Jelenia Góra, the presentation by Michaela Matoušková from the TU Liberec on the development of the real estate market was awarded a prize sponsored by the newly founded Hi!Lusatia e. V. and presented by the Hi!Lusatia board members Prof. Kratzsch (Rector HSZG) and Prof. Claus (Director IHI Zittau).
Congratulations to the winners!
