v. l. n. r.: Prof. em. Horst Steinmann, Prof. Albert Löhr, Prof. Markus Scholz (Nachfolge Löhr am IHI Zittau), Prof. Andreas Scherer (Universität Zürich) und Prof. Jacek Sójka (Adam Mickiewicz Universität Poznan)
Zurich, Notre Dame (USA), Lille, Prague, Poznan - in order to gather "the relevant names" of a subject from the relevant centers worldwide in Zittau, it is necessary to have just as relevant a name whose scientific life's work is to be honored here: Prof. Albert Löhr is such a name. Anyone who has ever dealt with the topics of business ethics, corporate social responsibility or responsible management is familiar with the "Löhr-Steinmann School". And so it is not surprising, but nevertheless noteworthy, that for the farewell of Prof. Albert Löhr into scientific retirement (the actual event took place at the time of the pandemic, so that it now had to be celebrated belatedly...) on June 16 and 17, 2023, the first squad of the international business ethics guild gathered in Zittau. The lectures of the two-day meeting addressed the various aspects of the subject as well as Prof. Albert Löhr's contribution to their discussion and further development.
