Girls' Day on April 25 - Girls' Day at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
What should I become? Young people today have countless study options to choose from, so the decision is often difficult. The annual Girls' Day offers a good opportunity to take a closer look at certain subjects. It is aimed in a targeted manner at girls and is particularly dedicated to professions that are otherwise considered "typically boys". On 25 April 2024, TU Dresden will once again be organizing numerous offers as part of Girls' Day. It offers schoolgirls the opportunity to broaden their horizons and get to know subject areas that they may not have previously considered when choosing a course of study. The TUD is once again focusing on on-site events on campus and additional digital formats.
There is also a wide range of events from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering to choose from. For example, participants can learn all about how female engineers work, take part in workshops, conduct their own experiments and take a tour of the scientists' laboratories.

The nationwide Girls' Day has been held annually since 2001 and Boys' Day since 2011. On this day, institutions and companies open their doors to school students to give them an insight into professions that do not correspond to the usual gender attributions - e.g. science and technology for girls or social work for boys. At TU Dresden, Diversity Management coordinates the Future Day activities.
