Minimally invasive lensless endomicroscopes for biomedicine based on laser-structured image waveguides
Lensless endoscopes can enable faster, safer and gentler tumor diagnostics. This requires sub-millimetre thin and flexible fiber optics for the transmission of holograms. The LiLoScope research project aims to determine the cost-effective and scalable production of these innovative optical components. To this end, advances in digital holography and laser-based micro- and nanostructuring are being used.
