Teachings at the Chair of Process Control Systems
Information
Dear students,
due to the Corona crisis we will conduct our courses of SS 2020 completely digitally and virtually. In order to ensure the learning progress nevertheless, the teaching will be done by means of provided materials for self-study and e-learning offers. We are currently working on suitable concepts and compiling the material. You will receive more detailed information soon, if possible via OPAL. Please enroll in the course already so that you can receive notifications by e-mail!
Teaching concept
The teaching of the Chair of Process Control Engineering enables students to conceptualize, design and implement (partially) autonomous and interactive process control systems for dynamic systems. The students know requirements for control systems, can select components and architectures in such a way that safety and reliability are guaranteed and can estimate the effort for configuration and parameterization of process control systems.
This basic competence can be developed in three pillars. The goal of the first pillar "Computer Aided Engineering in Process Automation " is for students to master essential methods for information modeling and algorithms for automation as a basis for innovation in computer-assisted planning systems for process automation. The goal of the second pillar "Human-Machine Systems Engineering" is to enable students to analyze, evaluate and design the human-machine interface in a structured, goal-oriented and high-quality manner. The courses offered in the third pillar "Process Control" enable students to design and implement model-based process control systems.
