Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Caroline Murawski is Professor of Biomedical Sensor Technology. Her research focuses on the development of organic semiconductor devices that are relevant for biophotonic and medical applications.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Gerald Gerlach
Since 1996 Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Gerald Gerlach has been Chair of Solid-State Electronics . His research interests are focused on different aspects of sensor technology including sensor materials and corresponding deposition and fabrication techniques, design and modeling of sensors as well as diverse sensor applications. In 2023 he became Sensior Professor.

The Chair of Coating Technologies in Electronics at the Institute for Solid State Electronics (IFE) is a joint professorship with the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden. Since 2021 this chair is held by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Elizabeth von Hauff.
