Timetable planning
Timetable explanation on Youtube!
Explanation on University Portals on Youtube!
Please be aware that there might always be timetable conflicts due to different specializations, key areas, profiles etc.!
Please note: You must visit all parts/courses of one module.
Modules that contain German and English taught courses are exempt - this means that if you do not have any knowledge of German, you may only attend the English language part of a module.
In order to avoid timetable conflicts you should choose from one study programme and one spezialisation area.
You have to choose minimum 70% of the modules offered by the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering!
- Choose a module, see module handbooks.
- Check if the module you have chosen is offered in the semester you want to stay at the TU Dresden (winter semester, summer semester), see module handbooks.
- Find out which parts/courses are within the module, see here the links to the courses or OPAL, information on the hours per week (lectures, exercises, practical lab course):
1st-6th semester
from 6th semester. -
The plans of studies are also very helpful.
- Check in the timetables for lectures, exercises and/or practical lab courses of the module courses.
- (Please note: There is more than one timetable in one study programme (e. g. EuiDE-1-01, EuiDE-1-02 etc.). This is relevant for the regular students only. Exchange students can choose freely.)
- The timetables of Nanoelectronic Systems you can find here.
- Some courses are held in the 1st week or 2nd week:
1st week = odd week
2nd week = even week - In the campus navigator you can search for the rooms.
- Here you can find the time patterns.
The abbreviations mean:
V, VO = lecture
Ü, ÜO = tutorial
P = practical lab course
SWS = Semesterwochenstunde = hour per week = 45 minutes
DS = Doppelstunde = "double hour per week" = 90 minutes
2/2/0 (example):
2 hours per week lectures (90 minutes lecture every week), 2 hours per week tutorial (90 minutes exercise every week), no practical lab course
Timetables:
EuiDE = study programme Electrical Engineering
EuiDI = study programme Information Systems Engineering
EuiDM = study programme Mechatronics
EuiDR = study programme Renewable Energy Systems
EuiMN = study programme Nanoelectronic Systems
AMR = specialization area Automation, Measurement and Control
EET = specialization area Electrical Power Engineering
GMM = specialization area Electronic Systems and Technolgy and Biomedical Engineering
IT = specialization area Communications and Information Technology
MEL = specialization area Microelectronics
If you have questions about the scheduling of your classes, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the tutors ( ) or the ERASMUS coordinator of the faculty. Furthermore, there will be a tutorial at the beginning of each semester in which, amongst others, the course planning is explained.
