Maarten Wijnen-Meijer is a consultant for digitalization and IT processes at the Faculty of Computer Science
Maarten Wijnen-Meijer has been the Digitalization and IT Processes Officer at our Faculty since 1 November 2023. By filling this position, the Faculty aims to make its digital workflows more efficient and sustainable as a pilot faculty. The development of strategic digitalization concepts, digitalization options and digital workflows for faculty administration, student administration and strategic planning for the long-term efficient and sustainable use of the central IT infrastructure are just some of the tasks in a comprehensive package.
Dutch-born Maarten Wijnen-Meijer brings a wealth of experience to the table. He completed his Master's degree in Information Science at Utrecht University in 2006. Wijnen-Meijer already implemented a long-term IT strategy as IT/information manager at the Association of Insurance Companies from 2008 to 2014, which professionalized application management and user support and adapted systems and their integration to new requirements. Subsequently, as a technical project manager in the city-wide customer management of the city of Munich's own company it@M, he managed various projects as part of the digitalization of municipal services and has developed various applications for process optimization in recent years. As a consultant to various companies, Maarten Wijnen-Meijer knows that "information technology can be very inspiring in itself, has a serving role in operational use and must therefore primarily meet the requirements of people and organization.".
