Qualification goals of the application subjects

Application subjects are offered as basic or supplementary modules in the master's degree programs in computer science and media informatics (INF-BAS8). The goals of the application subjects are to grasp the basics of a non-informatics minor, to plan the use of typical computer science methods in the application area, and to be able to assess and successfully implement the corresponding challenges.
After successful completion of the application subject, you will be able to grasp problems in the application area and understand how to develop solutions using approaches from computer science.
You will also be particularly qualified to work in interdisciplinary projects and teams.

Enrollment

Enrollment for an application subject is done via OPAL. It starts on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, 8:00 a.m. and runs until Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, 23:59 p.m.
Prospective Master's students (start in winter semester 2024/2025) who are currently still in the Bachelor's program can also register for the application subject via OPAL.
Prospective Master's students (start in winter semester 2024/2025) who do not (yet) have a ZIH account, please contact Dr.-Ing. Katrin Borcea-Pfitzmann via eMail Dr.-Ing. Katrin Borcea-Pfitzmann.
If there is more interest than available places, the date of registration/enrollment will be decisive.
