Short CV:
Michael Willig is a Ph.D student in Computer Science in the Adaptive Dynamic Systems (ADS) chair at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, since August 2018. Michael Willig studied Computer Science in Leipzig and Munich. He is a student at the FernUniversität Hagen for Industrial and Organizational Psychology . His computer science professional work included different industrial areas, e.g. SCADA with realtime OS QNX, development of domain specific languages (DSL), medical data mining and software development for embedded systems up to cluster server environments (J2EE).
Research Interests:
Michael Willigs main research interests are various approaches to make embedded FPGA SoC systems more energy efficient without compromising system reliability, especially real-time capability: From efficiency studies of different HDL synthesize options, the development of frameworks and extensions of real-time operating systems (RTOS) for the combined use of FPGA and CPU power saving modes, up to the development of frameworks for automated model-based design space exploration for an energy consumption minimized hardware/software co-design for reconfigurable computing.
