Equal opportunities
Equal opportunities means that people have the same chances to realise their notion of a good life irrespective of their gender, territorial or social origin or individual living conditions. In an increasingly complex work, research and study environment TU Dresden would like to offer all students and staff a variety of opportunities to make full use of their potential.
Due to the low share of women, equal opportunities work at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering primarily focuses on supporting women at all stages of their careers. On the other hand, the reconciliation of professional and family life is a subject that also increasingly concerns men.

24.10.2024 connectING regulars' table
The first connectING regulars' table in the new semester (WiSe2024/2025) will take place on 24 October at 5 pm.
We will visit the exhibition "frauenorte Sachsen" in the MERKEL building (Helmholtzstraße 14, 01069 Dresden). The coordinator of the project, Luisa Pohl, will guide through the exhibition. There are 16 portraits of women from Saxony who have achieved outstanding things in art, science or politics, including Clara Zetkin and Käthe Kollwitz. After the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to read the portraits yourself. Over juice and soup, we will then talk to each other and share our impressions. There will also be space for networking.
