Studying at the Chair of Forming and Machining Technology
Every day there are countless product ideas around the world and many have one thing in common: in order to become a usable product, the idea has to be implemented – i.e. manufactured – in the physical world. There is a wide variety of different manufacturing processes and an even greater variety of possible applications. In the courses we offer, which are mainly found in the basic studies and in the production technology specialization, you will get exciting insights to find your way around the colorful world of production processes and their planning. Due to the constant change in the products to be manufactured, the world of manufacturing processes is constantly being confronted with new challenges.
To meet these challenges, we are a group of people with skills as diverse as the processes we explore. This is one of the reasons why we are happy to supervise study and final theses, as well as HVAC positions on many different topics from parameter analysis using machine learning, to the development of measuring systems, to the design of test benches and much more. If you have your own topic ideas, please write to us or simply ask us directly after the course.
Lehrgebiete der Professur Formgebende Fertigungsverfahren
Die Lehrangebote umfassen die Hauptthemenfelder der Fertigungstechnik
- Urform- und Umformtechnik
- Zerspan- und Abtragtechnik
sowie
- Fertigungsplanung / Teilefertigung
- Produktionsautomatisierung.
Diese Lehrangebote sind Bestandteil der Studienrichtung Produktionstechnik innerhalb des Studiums Maschinenbau. Verschiedene Lehrveranstaltungen werden darüber hinaus auch für Studierende anderer Studienrichtungen und Fakultäten angeboten.
