The Chair of Laser-based Maufacturing
Originally, the chair was created after a challenging selection procedure at the Technische Universität Dresden as one of nine Open Topic Tenure Track (OTTP) chairs, which were established within the German excellence initiative. Our scientific team comprises off senior scientists and Ph.D. students. In addition, we offer topics for bachelor, diploma and master theses as well as other student research work such as interdisciplinary project work, which can be conducted either the TU Dresden or the Fraunhofer IWS Dresden. Once a year, students and Ph.D. students meet in Dresden for the International Summer School “Trends and new developments in laser technology” to present and discuss their latest results
