Education for industrial engineers
The Institute of Manufacturing and the Institute of Material Handling and Industrial Engineering as well as other institutions offer subjects for the Diploma and Master's degree courses for industrial engineers.
As more subjects are offered in the modules than are necessary to achieve the credit points, there is a choice. The recognizable training lines should be taken into account, which are indicated in the following overview:
Entry into the profile lines "Product Development", "Production Engineering", "Factory and Logistics" and "Work Systems and Organization" begins in the 4th semester with the manufacturing engineering internship. An explanation of this is summarized in the following presentation (as of 17.01.2019). The current information can be found on the institute website under Studies --> Summer semester --> Production engineering in the foundation course.
Diploma in Industrial Engineering (from WS2020/21) - Production Engineering profile line
- Introduction to the Production Engineering major
- Basic studies (also for the profile lines "Production and Logistics", "Product Development", "Work System and Organization":[Basic studies])
- Main studies of the profile line "Production Engineering":[Main studies - Production Engineering]
Current note:
The module "Manufacturing and Production" consists of the subjects:
- Production Engineering (for non-MB) (see Teaching in the WS)
- Production and Logistics (see link from the Chair of Technical Logistics)
The module "Production Planning" only includes the subject Production Planning (see Teaching in the WS)
