Description
Cable-driven robots are parallel kinematic systems in which light and flexible cables are used instead of rigid connecting elements. Compared to classical manipulators, this allows large workspace to be covered at high speeds. The goal of the RopeBot project is to develop a modular cable-driven robotic system that can be integrated into existing infrastructure in a wide variety of configurations.
For a thesis a variety of topics is imaginable. A collaboration on the project is possible in the following areas, among others:
- Control engineering and software implementation
- Mechanical design
- Simulation
- Measuring
