IT Resources
The IT infrastructure is operated in cooperation with the Chair of Multifunctional Structures. Its centralized realization ensures the simultaneous access to IT services and the powerful hardware for the staff of both chairs. As an extension of the services at the ZIH, the local environment offers especially services to support an efficient team work as well as the cooperative data management. Terminal services allow the efficient and comfortable usage of software products at the centralized resources, which comprises workstations (altogether 78 x86_64-compatible cores and 312GB main memory), supported by NVIDIA-CUDA enabled graphics boards (around 6000 cores and 15GB memory) and powerful flash storage systems. Apart from open source solutions, the following proprietary software products are available at the local systems:
