Project goals
The overarching goal of InnoLAB is to modernize chemical engineering education at European universities and make it future-oriented. The focus is on competence building, international cooperation and the integration of current research and industrial challenges into teaching.
The specific objectives of the project are
-
Promoting skills-based learning
Students should not only acquire specialist knowledge, but also develop critical thinking, teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills - key qualifications for the challenges of the future. -
Integration of current research and industrial relevance into teaching
Technically sound case studies on current processes and technologies, particularly in the areas of sustainability, life cycle analysis, digitalization and process intensification, are designed to enable practical learning. -
Strengthening international and digital cooperation
Joint activities such as summer schools, hackathons and digital benchmarks promote cooperation between European students and lecturers - both in person and online. -
Professionalization of university teaching in chemical engineering
By developing an innovative didactic framework, teachers are supported in designing and implementing modern, collaborative and inclusive teaching formats. -
Long-term anchoring and dissemination of results
All materials and concepts developed will be made openly accessible and can be adopted and further developed by other institutions.
