The DGVC is looking for new members
The Dresdner Gesellschaft für Verfahrenstechnik und Chemieingenieurwesen e.V. (DGVC) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2008, which offers students, graduates and employees of TU Dresden the opportunity for scientific exchange on process engineering topics, personal development and the establishment of valuable contacts in industry and research. The association is now looking for new members.
What are the aims of the DGVC?
The DGVC has set itself the primary goal of promoting the teaching and training of students. This objective is implemented in the form of specialist lectures on special topics from research and industry as well as various information events organised by the association.
The Processing Future format offers participants from all semesters the opportunity to get to know the various professorships and specialisms and to network with other students, alumni and staff.
For students from the 5th semester onwards, the DGVC offers support in writing academic papers. The alumni network, which the association maintains, can provide association members with contacts to the industry and thus contributes to an easier career start for graduates.
In line with this, the second major goal of the Dresden Society for Process and Chemical Engineering is to establish contacts between students and companies at an early stage. Whether you are looking for an internship, would like to be informed about new developments in industry or research in specialist lectures, need financial support or are interested in excursions and study trips: The DGVC can help you.
Other activities of the association include the financial and organisational support of student and scientist exchanges, the continuous expansion of the network and support for the organisation of events at the Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology and the Institute of Natural Materials Technology. Furthermore, an open round table is organised every two months and a general meeting is held once a year (in June/July).
