Spring School participants visit the Center for Energy Technology (CET)
On 13.03.2024, the Center for Energy Technology (CET) hosted the participants of the interdisciplinary Spring School, a multi-day event for international doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences, initiated by the Chair of Digital Cultures at TU Dresden. The Spring School took place for the first time this year and focused on the topic of the energy transition in Lusatia.
After the group led by Dr. Michaela Büsse (Chair of Digital Cultures, TU Dresden) had already received a highly informative tour of Lausitz Energie AG (LEAG) in Cottbus the previous day, they found their way to the Center for Energy Technology at TU Dresden last Wednesday.
Dr.-Ing. Simon Unz welcomed the participants and began by placing energy process engineering in the overall picture of business, politics and research in order to make it easier for visitors from outside the field to get started. He introduced the various test facilities at ZET, explained how they work and their purpose and also spoke about the challenges of the energy transition in connection with politics, the economy and nature conservation in the Lusatia region.
After the presentation of each test facility, there was an opportunity for a Q&A session, which was used intensively by the guests.
We were delighted to welcome the international doctoral students and hope that they were able to deepen their knowledge of the energy transition in Lusatia.
