Studying at the workgroup Mechanical Process Engineering
Our workgroup is in many ways committed towards the training of students and pupils. Its focus is on regular lectures and mandatory internships as well as on the supervision of seminar papers. In addition, we offer interested students the opportunity to participate in our workgroup and give pupils the chance to familiarise themselves with our specialist area. Periodically, we organise excursions to companies in the field of material-conversion industry as well as to relevant trade fairs.
Teaching and Training at MVT
The workgroup Mechanical Process Engineering offers several lectures for the courses of study “Process Engineering and Technologies of Natural Materials” and “Renewable Energy Systems”. Part of the regular training is the practical training in Process Engineering; in this context, we supervise four test rigs.
What is more, we assign various topics for papers (scientific internships) and diploma theses, and provide interested students with the opportunity to participate in our research projects as a student assistant. On a regular basis, we give pupils multi-day insights into the university’s working methods and engineering research topics. We furthermore organise regular excursions to industrial partners in the field of material-conversion as well as to relevant trade fairs.
We advise our students in selecting an appropriate company or institute for their advanced internship and assist them in organising their stays abroad. On this homepage, students will find support in terms of formal rules of the main studies’ structure (e.g. before and after the advanced internship, start of diploma thesis) and important documents (regulations and notes).
