Department Data-Based Modeling of Industrial Facilities and Processes

We are an interdisciplinary team with roots in the development and analysis of machine tools. We combine expertise in data science for production technology and develop solutions for the use of data in engineering applications. Our focus is on the use of algorithms and their practical provision.
We take a holistic view of machine and technology data "from sensor to visualization and decision". The focus is on the following areas:
- Machine health and process interactions: Condition monitoring, anomalies, root cause analysis, interaction models, prognosis, quality assurance, process chains
- Integration of experience, control, measurement and simulation data
- Methods for research data management
- Assistance for data automation and guidelines for the methodical handling of data, e.g.
- Holistic methodology for the use of data in technical applications (DMME Data Mining Methodology for Engineering Applications)
- Paradigm for usable, domain-specific data-based applications and artificial intelligence(Usable AI) in production
- Procedure for the holistic safeguarding of data quality
- Mixed modeling of real and synthetic data in greybox models
