Excursion of the Chair of Agricultural Systems and Technology 2025
Under the theme „3 days - 4 companies - countless insights“, around 40 students were able to experience modern agricultural technology on this year's excursion organised by the Chair of Agricultural Systems and Technology. The destination of the three-day trip, which took place at the beginning of May, was the greater Osnabrück area - home to many well-known agricultural engineering companies.
On the first day, the participants visited the CLAAS plant in Harsewinkel.
After a company presentation, the programme included a tour of the production facilities for combine harvesters, forage harvesters and large tractors. The visit was concluded with a discussion with technical experts.
The second day began at the GRIMME agricultural machinery factory, where exciting insights were provided into the development and production of machines for root crop cultivation. Interactive presentations and case studies illustrated the challenges of agricultural technology.
In the afternoon, the students visited the young company NEXAT, where they were able to familiarise themselves with the innovative system vehicles and the associated challenges as well as the development of compatible implements.
On the last day, the Bernhardt KRONE machine factory was visited. A tour of the factory and specialist presentations on forage harvesting technology highlighted the challenges and prospects for the industry.
The excursion enabled the students to expand their technical knowledge, reflect on the content of their studies and gain valuable contacts in the industry.
Many thanks to the companies and their employees for the comprehensive and detailed insights!
A big thank you also goes to the supporting organisations that made the excursion possible through their financial and organisational support:
- Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der TU Dresden e.V. (GFF)
- Fakultät Maschinenwesen der TU Dresden
- CLAAS KGaA mbH
- Max-Eyth-Stiftung (VDI Max-Eyth-Gesellschaft Arbeitsgruppe Nachwuchsförderung)
