Measuring and sensor technology
To analyze and assure the quality of textile process and products, the ITM has a wide range of measuring and sensor technology available, as well as a fully equipped electronics workshop for setup, calibration, repair and use of such technology. Available measuring and sensor technology is mobile and successfully used in production environments at the ITM and in industrial clients’ venues. The equipment available at the ITM comprises modern, commercially available measuring technology and application-specific ITM-developed items, including:
- thermography cameras,
- high-speed cameras (up to a million FPS),
- eddy current test rig
- thread tension sensors for a wide range of applications,
- optical and capacitive tread sensors,
- measuring rig for the determination of thread delivery behavior,
- measuring rig for the quality determination of spread tape,
- test setup for the contactless and non-damaging testing of sheet material by means of ultrasound, eddy current and optical measuring, and
- broad range of sensors for individual measuring and monitoring tasks on textile machines, even in sophisticated applications (incremental encoders, spacing sensors, temperature sensors).
