TEX4.0: Realizing Industry 4.0 competencies in textile SMEs
The Chair of Development and Assembly of Textile Products has launched the two-year TEX4.0 project with a meeting of all partners involved.
The TEX4.0 project aims to develop and provide training and education in Textile 4.0-related technologies to keep pace with the rapid technological advances in the sector.
This initiative is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and its main objectives during the 24 months of implementation are:
- Develop a curriculum on Industry 4.0 skills in the textile sector for VET trainers.
- Equip trainers, learners and stakeholders in vocational education and training with the necessary knowledge and tools through an innovative training package on Industry 4.0 related competences.
- Provide an e-learning format with attractive and dynamic features integrating all content.
- Conduct engaging training activities with participatory approaches to test the results and upskill the target groups.
Target groups of the initiative
- VET learners, i.e. current workers in the textile sector and NEETs for whom the textile sector is an opportunity to enter the labor market.
- VET trainers, VET centers, Institutes, lifelong learning centers.
- Stakeholders of the textile sector, including chambers of commerce, SME managers/owners, textile sector managers.
