Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering 2026

The Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering cordially invites you to the Faculty Day on Friday, June 19, 2026. All members of the faculty, our students and the graduates and their guests are invited to celebrate this special occasion together.
The ceremony will focus on bidding farewell to the graduates who successfully completed their studies, doctorate or habilitation at our Faculty between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026. At the same time, we will be honoring our Faculty's early-career researchers and presenting awards and prizes in a festive setting to highlight their outstanding achievements in studies and research. After the ceremony, we look forward to ending the day with a dinner together in a pleasant and convivial atmosphere.
The event is organized together with the association "Freunde und Förderer der Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering e.V." and the Faculty Student Council Mechanical Science and Engineering.

Costs
To participate in the Faculty Day, we charge a minimum contribution of 10 euros per person to help us organize the event. If you wish, you can of course increase the contribution at your own discretion. With a donation, you support our early-career researchers, strengthen the bond with our alumni and promote events such as the Day of the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering.
The participation fee includes the champagne reception during the ceremony, the meal and a free drink in the evening. Additional drinks can be purchased on a self-pay basis during the event.
Registration
Due to limited capacity, prior registration is required to attend the ceremony and the subsequent get-together in the Säulensaal of the Alte Mensa. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please register bindingly by May 31, 2026.
