Workshop and Experimental Services Mollier-Bau
The workshop and experimental field Mollier-Bau (WVM) is part of the Combined Workshop and Experimental Field (WVV) in the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. The WVM facilities are located in the Mollier-Bau and Merkel-Bau buildings.
The WVM primarily provides services for the following Institutes
- Institute of Power Engineering
- Institute of Fluid Mechanics
- Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology
These include
- Mechanical machining (milling, turning...) based on drawings or CAD models
- Assembly of components and test rigs
- The use of various thermal bonding processes to manufacture components and devices
- The planning and manufacture of electrical installations
- The construction of metrological and electronic components and devices
- Complete construction of test rigs incl. mechanical, electrical, electronic and metrological work
- Advice and cooperation during the development of components and devices
- Mediation and organisation of collaborations within the faculty, the university and with external partners

The services are rendered in close collaboration with technical staff who are funded by third parties and the institute’s own budget.
