Industrial Design Engineering at TU Dresden
As an agile team, we conduct research with the expertise of various disciplines. We combine design with engineering and psychology, economics and social sciences, physics and computer science. In the spirit of research-based teaching and learning, practical projects are at the heart of many courses. Together with our students and in the specific research questions of empirical dissertations, we expand the fields of application and impact of design research. We live co-creation right from the start, with a growing network of partners.
For us, life-centered design means: we design and create for people — as part of a complex ecosystem. For a future worth living, we combine practices such as circular design, systems thinking and futuring into solution-oriented and scientifically sound action.
