How has Europe developed? What values unite the people of Europe? And what challenges will shape the future of the European Union?
The EUTOPIA Summer School in European Identities, which will take place at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona from July 6 to 10, 2026, will address these and other questions. The Summer School brings together around 50 students from the ten EUTOPIA universities and offers the opportunity to discuss current European topics from different professional and national perspectives.
In addition to lectures and academic discussions, the program includes interactive formats and excursions, including
- Roundtables and moderated debates on European identities and the future of Europe
- Excursions and insights into political and social institutions
- Simulations of political decision-making processes in a European context (e.g. European Parliament)
Who can apply?
The Summer School is aimed at students from all departments, preferably in their third or fourth year of study. No specialist knowledge necessary - only your motivation counts!
What are the costs?
Your travel, accommodation and meal costs will be reimbursed by TU Dresden afterwards. You must submit a travel expense report for this. Participation in the Summer School itself is free of charge.
