First project meeting in Weißwasser
Talks in the town hall and at Station Weißwasser e. V.
A small team of the project application "POP-UP-KNOWLEDGE – Knowledge creates Dialog" of the Science Year 2022 – Participate! consisting of representatives of the Transport and Traffic Sciences, the Centre for Teacher Education and the Department of University Culture of the TU Dresden (TUD) as well as the Dresden Technical Collections met with Weißwasser's mayor Torsten Pötzsch on 24 January 2022.
The meeting in the town hall of the East Saxon city was also attended by a representative of the Station for Technology, Natural Sciences, Art – Weißwasser e. V. (Station Weißwasser e.V. for short). The station has been a project partner since the beginning of the application and will organise numerous events with TUD participation in the Year of Science 2022. The aim of the visit was to exchange views on the lively organisation of the "POP-UP-KNOWLEDGE" project in 2022 in Weißwasser, on possible further project partners and, of course, to get to know each other.
Visit to possible retail space for POP-UP-KNOWLEDGE-store
After a stimulating round of talks, the project group got a first impression of possible retail spaces for the POP-UP-KNOWLEDGE-store in the city centre.
Afterwards, the group went to the station in Weißwasser. In an exchange with staff, they talked about upcoming children's and youth projects in 2022 and the possible involvement of TUD scientists in the various formats and offers. The team travelled back to Dresden with many impressions, ideas and already concrete dates for cooperation.
