Symposium "Women's health and climate change"
The symposium of the Working Group Women's Health in Medicine, Psychotherapy and Society (AKF) e. V. focuses on the connection between women's health and climate change at a local and global level. The focus is on women's health in the various phases of life, in care work and nursing. Vulnerable groups such as those affected by poverty, those with little education, pregnant women, the elderly and single parents are also taken into consideration. Lectures, discussions and a vernissage will present research findings and discuss health policy and preventative concepts. There will also be space for dealing with our feelings and personal confrontation with the topic. In view of the threats posed by climate change, the conference is intended to promote commitment and empowerment and make demands on those with political responsibility and the general public. The conference is being organized by the Arbeitskreis Frauengesundheit in Medizin, Psychotherapie und Gesellschaft (AKF) e.V. and will take place on 2 and 3 November at the Hygienemuseum Dresden. Further information on the program and registration can be found at Fachtage 2024 des AKF
