Future-oriented teaching requires interdisciplinarity
Our projects focus on integrating innovative teaching formats and modern didactic methods into medical training. These include interactive teaching and learning approaches, digital learning environments, simulation training and interdisciplinary and practical forms of teaching.
A central component of curriculum development is also the adaptation and further development of examination formats. New teaching content requires fair, valid and practicable forms of examination that not only test knowledge, but also reliably assess students' clinical and communication skills. We are guided by international standards and the latest scientific findings in order to design examination formats that are both transparent and legally compliant.
A particular focus of our curriculum development is the optimization of PJ teaching in medical studies. The aim is to strengthen interprofessional and skills-based training that prepares students in a targeted manner for their future clinical work. Students should be integrated into multiprofessional teams at an early stage through close cooperation with other healthcare professions such as nursing. This not only promotes exchange between disciplines, but also improves collaboration in patient care. Instead of purely knowledge-based content, the focus is increasingly on developing practical and communication skills. Structured learning objectives and feedback mechanisms help to build on individual strengths and acquire skills in a targeted manner for everyday clinical practice.
Through these measures, the practical year is being further developed to meet the increasing demands of modern medicine and optimally prepare students for their future medical work.
By working closely with teaching staff, students and other stakeholders in medical training, we ensure that our developments are practical, sustainable and tailored to the needs of our students. Our aim is to guarantee high-quality teaching that prepares students in the best possible way for their future work in patient care.
