Studying at the Faculty of Biology
After a break of 26 years, degree courses in biology were resumed in October 1994 at Technische Universität Dresden. The two Bachelor degree programmes "Biology" and "Molecular Biotechnology" were discontinued and in 2018/19 and replaced by the Bachelor degree programme "Molecular Biology and Biotechnology". Approximately 450 students receive comprehensive fundamental and applied training in this Bachelor's degree programme as well as the two unique Master's programmes "Biology in Society" and "Molecular Biosciences and Productive Biosystems". The Faculty of Biology also supports the external Master's degree course "Organismic and Molecular Biodiversity" together with the IHI and Senckenberg.

Studying Biology in Dresden
The Faculty of Biology offers the undergraduate Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology as well as the subsequent Master's degree in the programmes "Biology in Society", starting every winter semester, and "Molecular Biosciences and Productive Biosystems", starting every summer semester. The Faculty of Biology also supports the external Master's degree course "Organismic and Molecular Biodiversity"
