The AG Sensorik von Bedarfsgegenständen (Working Group Sensory Testing of Consumer Products) is a joint working group of DGSens e.V. and EUROLAB-D. The working group is working on a collection of methods for the sensory testing of food contact materials.

The BfR Commission for Consumer Goods is responsible for advising on the health assessment of consumer goods. It deals with both substance-related and toxicological issues as well as issues in connection with legislative projects of the European Union or the Council of Europe.

The ILSI (International Life Sciences Institute) working group ‘Packaging Materials’ seeks to address the challenges associated with ensuring safe food contact materials for food consumption. This includes, on the one hand, assessing the safety of food contact materials and their interactions with food to ensure consumer safety while minimising environmental impact. And on the other hand, taking into account the latest improvements in food production and trade, which are leading to an increasing development of food packaging.
