Gender Equality

At the Technische Universtiät Dresden (TUD) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), gender equality, equal opportunities and a family-friendly research environment are given the highest priority, thus, they are  strongly supported by targeted measures. The equal opportunities funds raised within the frame of the CRC 1415 can be used for:

Career development:

• Mentoring programs
• Soft skill courses
• Management training
• Individual coaching, etc.

Compatibility of family and science:

• Family services/child care 1)  during events organised by the research association, 2) at time outside the usual childcare hours and 3) during holiday
• Installation and operation of a home office
• Setting up parent/child rooms 
• Financing of personnel that relieves scientists with family obligations of routine tasks in their field of work

Miscellaneous

• Gender sensitivity training
• Development of a manual or website on gender equality measures
• Girls’ days, junior academies or summer schools for girls, etc.
