Final Call for Participation
The 96th Workshop on General Algebra (96. Arbeitstagung Allgemeine Algebra)
will be held in Darmstadt, Germany, June 1.-3., 2018, on the campus of Techni-
sche Universität Darmstadt. The location was chosen in memory of Rudolf Wille,
the founder of the AAA conference series, who passed away in 2017.
The topics of the conference include Universal Algebra, Lattices, Logic, Classical
Algebra and Applications.
The scientific program will start on Friday morning at 9:00, and will end on
Sunday around 13:00.
We proudly announce invited plenary talks by the following colleagues:
• Libor Barto (Charles University Prague)
• Emil Jeřábek (Czech Academy of Sciences)
• Friedrich Martin Schneider (Technische Universität Dresden)
• Sergei Obiedkov (National Research University HSE, Moscow)
Contributed talks of 20 mins + discussion are welcome.
Important dates:
• Registration for 20 min. talk: (was until May 1, 2018, but a few slots are
still open at the moment.)
• Abstract submission: (was until until May 10, 2018, but the file is not yet
closed.)
• Registration without talk: until May 20, 2018
There will be no conference fee, but participants will be asked for a contribution
of 50 Euros for catering and the conference dinner.
Conference venue:
All talks will be in the old „Maschinenhaus“ of TU Darmstadt, which is building
S1|05 of TU Darmstadt. It is located in Darmstadt, Magdalenenstr. 12, near
Kantplatz. The lecture rooms are approximately 500 m from public transportation (bus H,
tram lines 5,7,8, all from Luisenplatz).
Warning: During all three days of the conference, there will be a large Pop
festival close to the conference venue („Schlossgrabenfest“). It seems advisable
not to book accommodation in the city center (around the castle), unless you
enjoy loud music even in the night. Parking may be a problem as well.
Organization: Manuel Bodirsky, Bernhard Ganter and Ulrich Kohlenbach.
