Female perspectives on challenges in physics studies and professional life: Get-Together with Prof. Lilia Woods on 31.05.2022
Prof. Lilia Woods is the invited speaker at the Physics Colloquium in the Physics Department on 31.05.2022. The topic of her talk is "Materials properties as means to control fluctuation induced interactions" (4:40 pm, zoom access data in pdf). Lilia Woods is a physicist at the University of South Florida, Tampa (USA) and has received a Humboldt Research Award. She is hosted in the group of Prof. Carsten Timm at the Institute of Theoretical Physics since May 1.
After the colloquium (6:00 p.m.), students and staff are invited to a get-together with Lilia Woods to talk to the speaker personally and exchange views on female perspectives on challenges in studies and professional life. The get-together will take place in room REC/B101, and online participation is also possible (zoom access details in pdf).
