Nilüfer Körhasan welcomed as guest professor
Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Didis Körhasan from Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Eregli Faculty of Education, Turkey, will be researching at the Chair of Physics Education for one year from 01.02.2024 to 31.01.2025 as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow. Her research area is the construction of mental models by students in the field of quantum theory. Nilüfer Körhasan completed her studies (2005) and her doctorate (2012) at the Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. She conducted long-term research projects at the physics departments of the University of Maryland (2010) and Harvard University (2015-2016). She was honored with the Turkish Academy of Sciences Outstanding Young Scientist Award (TÜBA-GEBİP, 2017) and the Science Academy's Young Scientist Award (BAGEP, 2020).
