Research

The research activities of the Chair for Organic Semiconductors focuses on the light-emitting and excitonic properties of organic semiconductors and soft matter. One of two central points is the research and development of organic light-emitting diodes. A second focus, funded through an ERC Starting Grant, is on the investigation of biluminescent emitter materials (i.e. dual-state emitters).

Teaching

The Chair for Organic Semiconductors contributes to the teaching in the Bachelor and Master Courses in Physics, in the international Master Course 'Organic and Molecular Electronics (OME)', as well as in the basic training in physics of other departments within the School of Science.
