ARRIVAL
Arrival by public transport
The Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics can be reached by bus 66 (direction Mockritz or Freital-Deuben) from the main exit of Dresden main station. Get off at the second stop Technische Universitaet (Fritz-Foerster-Platz). From there it is a 500 m walk or take bus 61 (direction Weißig or Fernsehturm) to the stop Staats- und Universitaetsbibliothek. map
From Dresden-Neustadt station, from the city center (Postplatz) or from the stop Hauptbahnhof Nord, you can reach the institute by using tram line 11 (direction Zschertnitz) and getting off at the stop Zellescher Weg. From there it is a 300 m walk by foot or a bus stop to Staats- und Universitaetsbibliothek by changing to bus line 61 (direction Löbtau). If you want to go to the guesthouse Weberplatz, leave the tram at Strehlener Platz, i.e. one stop earlier. From there it is only a few minutes walk to the institute.

Arrival by car
From the exit of the A17 motorway Dresden-Südvorstadt take the B170 towards city center. At Fritz-Förster-Platz turn right and follow Zellescher Weg. After approx. 500 m you will see the institute building on the left-hand side. Make a U-turn at the next traffic light. After approx. 200 m turn right into Max-Liebermann-Straße.
Arrival by aircraft
After arriving at Dresden airport, please take the S-Bahn line S2 (direction Pirna) to the stop Dresden-Strehlen. From there you can reach the institute by bus line 61 (direction Löbtau). The bus stop is Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek.
Alternatively, a flight to Berlin Schönefeld is also cheap. From there you can get to Dresden quickly and inexpensively by train or bus such as Flixbus.
Arrival by train
If you are arriving by train, please travel to Dresden main station and use public transport.
