Offers and contact details:
Teacher training
Teacher training courses are offered by TU staff via the TU(ZLSB) as well as via the Saxon Institute of Education, the Chair of Didactics of Physics and the IKTP.
Netzwerk Teilchenwelt
Science on the move! Netzwerk Teilchenwelt brings particle physics and astroparticle physics to schools, school labs and other educational institutions all year round. Teachers and students can also experience current research on site at workshops at CERN in Geneva.
International Masterclasses
In the International Masterclasses, young people from year 10 onwards become researchers themselves for a day: After introductory lectures, they independently analyze original research data and discuss the results in a video conference with young people from all over the world. Centrally organized at the Faculty of Physics at TU Dresden, around 14,000 students from over 220 institutes in more than 60 countries take part each March/April.
Physics on Saturday
Five lectures on various physics topics in November and December for pupils from year 10 upwards. Hard-working visitors to Physics on Saturday can even win a diploma!
Student experiment week
Every fall, teachers can register their students in grades 7 to 10 for experiments at the university. Supervised by students, the student experiment week offers experiment complexes on selected subject areas.
Girls' experiment camp
Girls only! Girls get the opportunity to experiment with physics without boys. During a 3-day stay in Dresden, girls from the 7th and 8th grades from the Dresden area have the opportunity to deal intensively with everyday problems from a physical point of view and to carry out experiments themselves.
