This project is devoted to dynamical properties of predominantly two-dimensional exotic quantum magnets and to experimental signatures resulting thereof. We will in particular focus on the calculation of the dynamical spin structure factor. For the analysis of microscopic models with strong spin-orbit interactions we will develop a comprehensive numerical toolbox for the exact treatment of dynamics in quantum lattice models, combined with field-theoretical methods for the study of larger topological objects, in particular skyrmions.
