The course enables students to independently plan, prepare, conduct and evaluate scientific experiments in psychology and to present the results in a scientific research report. Students learn the basic skills of good scientific practice with a special focus on the replication of scientific findings and the application of open science practices, in particular preregistration, open experimentation and open data.
The course has a high proportion of independent experimental psychological work. Students are supervised by experienced lecturers from the fields of differential, general and biological psychology.
Structure
The course is divided into groups, each of which is supervised by one person. The course of the groups is coordinated and the criteria for the evaluation of the examination report are standardized. The lecturers of each group are responsible for setting the thematic focus.
