Dr. Julia Nadine Doetsch
Short biography:
Julia Nadine Doetsch completed her studies in European Public Health (BSc) and Global Health (MSc) at Maastricht University, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. Intra-matricularly, she completed a semester of study with a focus on epidemiology at the University of Eastern Finland, two semesters of study with core research areas at the Universidade de Coimbra and the Global Health Learning Symposium at the Universities of McMaster, Thammasat, Manipal and Maastricht. From 2016 to 2024, she worked as a Research Associate in three EU projects and since 2018 she has been working at the Instituto de Saúde Pública of the University of Porto (ISPUP) in the Epidemiology Research Unit. At the same time, she completed her doctorate at the Care and Public Health Research Institute (CAPHRI) of Maastricht University and completed her dissertation, supervised by ISPUP and CAPHRI, in 2023. Since December 2024, she has been a Research Associate at the Chair of Behavioral Epidemiology at TU Dresden. Her research interests lie at the intersection of public health, health policy, health inequalities and (behavioral) epidemiology. |
