Was erwartet dich im Online-Programm?
The online program for coping with strong test and speech anxiety (OPTA) is a research project with an internet-based free training opportunity for employees and students of the Technical University of Dresden. The online program consists of a self-test, an information module on exam and speech anxiety, modules for learning coping methods and a collection of further information and services. The time required for the program depends on your needs and interests (e.g., about 30 minutes for the information module). You can terminate your participation in OPTA at any time. It is possible that we will invite you to a follow-up survey a few weeks after your participation. This is also voluntary; with your participation you support the research and further developments of OPTA, which can help people who suffer from speech or test anxiety.
Who has developed the program?
The online program for coping with strong test and speech anxiety was developed at the Chair of Behavioural Psychotherapy (see copyright information) and funded within the budget "Diversity specifically promoted" of the Diversity Management unit at the TU Dresden.
What are the terms of use and copyrights?
All contents of this offer, especially texts, pictures and videos, are protected by copyright (§§ 106 ff UrhG, § 97 UrhG). Our consent is required for the use of the contents of this website (contact). The technical platform (Minddistrict) is also subject to copyright protection and its own terms of use, which you must agree to by registering. Our copyright information can be found at: tu-dresden.de/opta/credits
What is the role of the technical service provider?
Minddistrict was commissioned with the technical implementation, and a contract was concluded with them under joint responsibility in accordance with article 26 of the EU Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO). Minddistrict is a leading provider of online health training, which was founded in the Netherlands and is now active in many European countries. What happens with your data? How about your anonymity?
Initial access to the login link is only possible from the TU network (also accessible via VPN or WebVPN). The ZIH of the TU Dresden as the technical operator assures that no log data will be stored which would allow an individual assignment of who has called up this link (further inquiries can be made to the Service-Desk). The registration link is not individually generated, but a generic link and can be called without restriction to support the best possible anonymity (the link reads something like this: https://webcare.minddistrict.de/.....c9b6&open=1).
You can decide for yourself which username and e-mail address you choose. If you do not want to, no data directly related to your person will be stored and you will remain anonymous. Of course we will treat your data confidentially, however, if you use an anonymous e-mail address and a nickname instead of your real name, direct name-related data will be avoided from the very beginning. However, under certain circumstances and in individual cases it may be possible that complete anonymity is not possible. Although we as a university do not use identity trackers, Minddistrict uses cookies and analysis trackers (especially by Google Analytics). We cannot exclude the possibility that Minddistrict could draw any conclusions about identity. If you want to protect yourself from this, we recommend using the so-called private mode of your browser and ad blockers such as uBlock Origin.
We and the company Minddistrict process your data together. Minddistrict has access to all data you enter just like we do. Minddistrict uses the data for the operation and development of the technical platform. We use the data for research purposes and for the further development of the training. Apart from that, there is no commercial use of your data. Evaluations are carried out with anonymized data and are published in the usual scientific form. We guarantee that no conclusions about natural persons can be drawn from the publications. You agree that the anonymized data may be stored for research purposes for an unlimited period of time.
