Von Normen und Regeln (About norms and rules)

In linguistics there will be a paradigm shift from generative linguistics to cognitive linguistics. This is based on different positions in the discussion on how to model language knowledge and general cognitive processes. In the context of the lecture series the question arises: Do we produce language on the basis of norms or rules and what can we learn about the premises of our science by dealing with this question?

As a linguist, I will not speak about truth. But I will be happy to explain why.
